New testimonials from Accounting Club members about their Virtual 2020 Summer Internships

Matt Frazin, BBA ‘21: Virtual Assurance Internship at PwC

This summer I had the opportunity to participate in a two-week virtual internship with PwC in their Assurance practice. While I was disappointed that I was unable to experience living in New York and working in the PwC office, the firm still delivered a rewarding experience.

In my two weeks, PwC emphasized its commitment to an inclusive and trustworthy workplace culture, while giving us the ability to improve our personal development. I also learned more about the day-to-day roles of an assurance associate. The program allowed me to practice thinking with an agile mindset and to use data-driven storytelling to become a better problem-solver and leader. I began my digital upskilling journey, utilizing PwC’s advanced tools for data wrangling and visualization. I formed valuable connections with several members of the firm as well as other interns.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my internship experience this summer and am excited to join the PwC family full-time in the New York office beginning in 2022!

Habib Bello, BBA ‘22: Virtual Discovery Audit Internship at Deloitte

As a Discovery intern, I was able to dive deeper into Deloitte’s fantastic workspace opportunities, as well as work on an intern team to complete an amazing case project about their various service lines. Also, through Deloitte’s business spotlights and national plenaries, Discovery interns were able to understand the daily tasks and obligations that a Deloitte professional undertakes. Lastly, I was able to collaborate and connect with Deloitte officials in order to foster new connections and build meaningful relationships in the workplace.

Despite COVID limiting the ability to work at one their many Deloitte offices, the Discovery internship provided me a wonderful glimpse into a future career at Deloitte!
